The Delhi Foodies which started of as a modest group is growing rapidly into a huge community of like minded people … who have only one thing on their mind … FOOD. There is nothing which binds you more than the love for food & the dudes of food got together for a 3rd successful Delhi Foodies meet.
The third foodie meet was held at Dude Food, Satya Niketan, one of the newest restaurant, The agenda, to chat, eat, drink and have fun. We did chat about the ethics of writings, blogging and how to keep the innovation going.
The Venue, Dude Food is located bang opposite Sri Venkateshwara College in Satya Niketan and the Owner Sumit Goyal was also present for the event. He took me through restaurant, painstakingly explaining each concept and ever piece of decor that graces the wall of his quaint little restaurant. The restaurant has a personalized touch and Sumit and his team have give their 100% in making Dude Food the “dude’ among restaurants.
The 5 course Menu was well thought of and one of the best dishes. The Minestrone to start with … alright, but then I was never a soup fan!
Baked Chicken Nachos – As the name suggests fully loaded with cheese, mayonnaise chicken and veggies … We finished all the chicken and cheese in between the nachos!!!
Pigs in Blanket … Sausages wrapped in Bacon and served with a sweet and sour sauce … I devoured two big helpings of this though I would have preferred the bacon to be crispier.
BBQ Chicken wings … for the non pork eaters … why would anyone not eat pork or bacon now?
The Dude Lamb burger … A double lamb patty stuffed with lettuce, onions, tomatoes and mayo … totally a dude and a challenge to finish for normal people … of course for foodies like us it was a breeze. The best part is that at a cost of Rs. 185/- this is the best value for money you will receive.
Fried mars … Nuff said … This dessert literally takes the cake (pun intended) … Fried Mars (yes the chocolate) with chocolate ice cream.
The food was sinful and we did pay for our sins … like the cash register at the restaurant says.
A great evening spent with like-minded foodies and hoping the subsequent meets will pull in a bigger crowd.
